The article analyzes opportunities and problems of the implementation of unmanned aerial vehicles as aerial targets. The first part is an overview of the systems used elsewhere. The second part analyzes a real unmanned aerial vehicle, which was used as test drone for air force air defense training. These tests were made for further development of unmanned aerial targets in Lithuania. The author also describes the prototype of target drone, which could be used for Lithuanian Army.
