When the entire industry of aviation is developing, there are new challenges emerging, which require to improve the circumstances for airspace users. Increase of the productivity of air navigation services is one of the main goals. In the article research of the current airspace structure of Lithuania in air traffic control aspect is presented. In the experimental part the new airspace structure is given. It is suggested to join together current terminal areas into a two main terminal area system. When compared current and new airspace structures, advantages of new airspace structure are given.
