Permanent changes in global economy, population growth, expanding tourism market, migration demands the development of aviation industry, thus influencing effective and optimal use of operating costs. The growth of aviation branch is becoming an issue, which requires to reduce its negative impact on the environment and people living in the vicinities of the airports. This article describes the concept of continuous descend procedures by which those problems can be solved or at least minimized. It also takes into account the problems, which might be faced when applying these procedures in practice.
