Application of Matlab Data Analysis Program for Evaluation of Radar Electromagnetic Radiation

Abstract


Evaluation of radar electromagnetic radiation is mandatory to acquire adequate knowledge of possible effect on population in the effected zone and to comply with national hygiene norm regulated electromagnetic wave energy density value. Taking into account relief in radar area calculations become more difficult and many data points are necessary for evaluation. Data analysis program Matlab allows a better performance of calculations by up-scaling accuracy for greater amount of data points. Data presented as a graph is easier to analyze even with a naked eye, nevertheless Matlab creates interactive graphs which are zoomable, rotatable and presents data at a distance of a mouseclick. 3D graphs allow to have more data points and evaluate a large area around the radar. In the paper an example evaluation of electromagnetic radiation in Palanga airport is discussed.
