Lightning - natural atmospheric physical phenomenon, which has a negative impact on the safe operation of aircrafts. During aviation history some accident influenced by lightning strikes to aircrafts occurred, resulting in introduction of new security measures. With the development of aircrafts, their systems becoming more complex, there was an introduction of new advanced security measures. In recent decade composites materials spread to aviation industry, so there is a new engineering challenges in order to ensure the aircraft resistance to lightning and flight safety.
