Consequences of Irregular Radio Contact and Its Influence for Aviation Safety

Abstract


English is the international language of aviation, nevertheless miscommunication between aircraft pilots and air traffic controllers is a result of numerous aviation incidents. The objective of the study – three aircraft incidents, which occurred on an irregular radio usage, examples and their analysis. The object of research – Tenerife crash in 1977 March 27, two aircraft collision at St. Louis in 1944 November 22 and Zagreb incident in 1976 September 10. The study analyzed the following aircraft incidents radio conversations before they happen, and the results – errors, which led to accidents.
